Office 365 Product Specialist Manager
Digital Workplace Support Manager Location: Home based with very occasional travel to Nottingham Salary: £33,706 per annum. About the role To provide effective, operational management of business-critical Office 365 components and video conference technologies, supporting in delivering digital maturity through new efficient and innovative ways of working and communicating with colleagues and service users. The post holder will work closely with various project teams as required to deliver and manage a sustainable and innovative product, helping to define and meet business and system user requirements. The role will help improve digital literacy across the organisation through delivering and promoting the use of Office 365 and video consultation tools, working collaboratively with various teams to recognise, share and promote new products, changes, and innovations, through a community of practice with Digital Champions and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week (8 hours per day with a 30minute unpaid break). As per policy flexible working can be discussed with the candidate as long as contractual working hours needs are met. The candidate must have their own transport and ability to travel between sites. Travel paid as per Agenda for Change rates. Role Context Act as the Office 365 product specialist to ensure maximum benefit is realised from existing software and systems Support the use of Video Conferencing and Video Consultation software tools Active and influential member of the Applications Team, developing technical knowledge and skills to deliver high quality Digital Workplace tools that are well supported and maintained throughout and beyond their lifecycle Lead stakeholder engagement in an adoption management advisory role Support Business Analysis process in defining business and system user requirements to establish a roadmap in support of future development Work closely with the Digital Programme Management Office to ensure integrated and successful projects are delivered Work closely with all areas of HIS to shape and deliver required business outputs such as reports and business intelligence Establish close relationships with the Digital Champions, advising on O365 changes and analysing development requests in support of a Digital Workplace Work closely with System Engineers, IT Security and Information Governance to continually maintain the O365 configuration, security and user authentication/access to meet business and governance requirements Line management of team members directly related to supporting O365applications Provide support and expert advice to staff for system enhancements and developments Work with IT Trainers in building subject matter expertise and best practice guidance and in in establishing Training Needs Analysis for new functionality, changes and updates to Digital Workplace components such as O365. Knowledge and experience Educated to Degree level, or with equivalent operational experience Highly computer literate with a strong commitment to maintaining an understanding of continuing IT developments. Microsoft qualifications such as MCSE, MCSA, MCP. Microsoft qualification or equivalent advanced experience of Microsoft Office products; dealing with installation, configuration, support and development of the office product or the individual applications. Knowledge of ITIL, qualified to Foundation Certificate level Knowledge & Experience Expertise in extracting, refining and analysing organisational user requirements. Experienced systems administrator, providing a high level of user support with a customer focus. Practical experience of working to Data Protection legislation/regulations and ideally additionally Caldicott guidelines. Team builder, experienced at managing a variety of staff with a wide range of personalities, skills and expectations.
