Role: Senior Network Engineer Location: Hybrid working (Home-based + Worcestershire 2 days per week) Salary: £42,000 – 48,000 + on-call payments + comprehensive Employee Benefits Key Skills: 3rd Line Network Support, Cisco, LAN/WAN, VOIP Telephony, Firewalls, Network Security etc. Our client is a technology led, high-profile Public-Sector organisation undergoing a period of growth as they make significant investment into the technologies and technical support teams that help deliver their essential public services. Ensuring the highest levels of technical support across the User estate, they are recruiting for an experienced 3 rd Line Network Engineer to work as part of a highly collaborative Network Team within a large ICT Technical Support function. The role: Working collaboratively within the Networking Team, providing high level, escalated technical support and mentoring more junior members of the networking team. Acting at SME level on some of the networking technologies, (dependant on the successful candidate) About you: We are looking for a candidate with 5+ years in network support roles with at least 2 of these years at 3 rd Line level. Broad network technology experience to include Cisco, LAN/WAN, IP routing, VOIP/telephony, Enterprise Firewalls, Web Proxies and filtering Desirable technical skills include: network security principles, Load balancing, VPN’s, Cloud, MS Office 365, Remote Access Solutions etc. Great problem-solving skills! Line management experience desirable You will need to possess excellent communication skills, written and verbal, and be a great problem solver!
