Role - Engage confidently and passionately with customers to build trust and credibility, and excite customers about the company’s capabilities and solutions across the breadth of the Central Government portfolio. Attend pre-sales meetings with potential clients to determine business vision, challenges, needs, explore solution options, build the case for change and establish buy-in/consensus for a recommended solution/approach. Take overall accountability and ownership for technical solutions in bids, ensuring they are innovative, competitive and cost effective, meet the client need and align to our delivery capability and strengths. Interface with the implementation / project teams for key projects, articulating the customer need, to ensure a smooth transition from Sales to Delivery. Own/drive the technical solution in major bids, and drive teams of solution architects and technical SMEs to propose innovative, compelling, and cost-effective solutions that meet the client need.  This will include: Owning the cost model for technical solutions in bids, liaising with engineering teams to define costs. Liaising with engineering teams to define and cost technical RAID items in bids. Liaising with engineering & delivery leads to define delivery plan and resource models for bids. Liaising with delivery SMEs to define and cost delivery RAID items. Coordinating effective peer review of estimates. Coordinating Infosec and Solution and Cloud reviews of technical solutions in bids. Contribute technical content as part of RFI/RFP/ITT/bid responses.   Experience required - Experienced in technical presales with a proven track record of shaping and leading the technical aspects of significant digital transformation bids/opportunities Knowledge and experience of UK Public Sector procurement and the development and support of bespoke digital solutions. TECHNICAL SPECIALISM Deep subject matter expertise in one or more of: Multi-channel (web/mobile/chat) B2B or B2C digital services Digital workplace and collaboration solutions (e.g. M365/Sharepoint/Dynamics/Teams) Data solutions (e.g. data marketplaces, data integration services, MDM, open data hubs) Insight solutions (e.g. data warehouses, business intelligence, dashboards, AI/advanced analytics) Cloud migration and application modernisation Due to the organisation’s clients being in the Public sector candidates will need to be eligible for security clearance (SC level).
