Role:                   Network Engineer (3 rd Line) - Security Location:            Home-based + Hampshire OR Oxfordshire area travel Salary:                £44.5K + 5% on-call payment (+ comprehensive benefits) Key Skills:  Cisco, Juniper, Checkpoint etc. Summary Our client is a technology led, high-profile Public-Sector organisation who continue to grow due to significant transformation of their IT services and ongoing promotion of individuals across the various technical support teams.   They are recruiting for their IaaS Team, (Infrastructure as a Service), and are seeking a Network Engineer to join a busy and friendly team providing Network Security support in a very high-profile Public-Sector setting.  The role: Working within the Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) team, you will be responsible for supporting different infrastructure platforms, and delivery mechanisms, including Cloud, IaaS and hybrid.  The network security engineers are responsible for the provisioning, deployment, configuration and administration of network security hardware and software.  You will be responsible for resolving technical issues, assist with lifecycle management of existing solutions and carry out routine housekeeping and maintenance checks to maximise system availability.  You will apply functional knowledge and technical support to the various network offerings and contribute towards innovative solutions to internal customers.  About you: 3-5+ years’ experience working across networking technologies including as many of the following: Cisco IOS Juniper JUNOS Checkpoint Firewall Palo Alto appliances Firewall security rule management VPN administration Web content inspection. Cloud networking technologies such as Azure Demonstrate good troubleshooting skills to investigate, diagnose, and rectify issues relating to services in an enterprise environment.  Great communication skills, customer focused, flexible, adaptable, problem solver and able to work systematically within a team.  Able to understand and articulate how the application of ICT technology impacts the organisation, business objectives and processes, ideally within policing or public sector.  Able to interpret, and challenge network designs, and have strong communication skills including experience in communicating technical information to different target audiences.  Must have the capability to travel to different locations in Oxfordshire and Hampshire (Full UK driving license essential) You will need to possess excellent communication skills, written and verbal, and be a great problem solver!
