Information and Communications Technology, Network Engineer (Connectivity)    Location - Kidlington & Southampton   Salary £44,437     Summary   Exciting challenges lie ahead – Our client is looking for a Network Engineer (Connectivity) to join their Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) team, you will be responsible for  supporting different infrastructure platforms, and delivery mechanisms, including Cloud, IaaS  and hybrid. Working with Cisco IOS, Juniper JUNOS, Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Microsoft Azure and VMware NSX to name a few. Our connectivity engineers are responsible for  the provisioning, deployment, configuration and administration of the network connectivity hardware and software.     You will play a key role in supporting our business-as-usual initiative responsible for resolving technical issues, assist  with lifecycle management of existing solutions and carry out routine housekeeping and maintenance checks to maximize system availability. You will apply functional knowledge and technical support to our various network offerings and contribute towards innovative solutions to our customers.     Essential Skills:     Experienced in delivering and supporting virtual, physical and cloud server infrastructures within an ITIL focused environment.    Experienced in the configuration and support of customer’s networks – LAN’s & WANs, routers, switches, firewalls. With a specialism  in one or more areas acquired  through academic qualification or further professional training and development.    Experienced in the utilisation of network management tools to support customers’ networks.    Experienced in working with different infrastructure technologies including Cisco IOS, Juniper JUNOS, Checkpoint Firewall, F5 load balancers, Microsoft Azure/O365, VMWare NSX, Microsoft Windows 8.1/10, Solarwinds   Demonstrate excellent troubleshooting skills to investigate, diagnose, and rectify issues relating to the infrastructure technologies.    Desirable technical skills:     Experienced in working with different infrastructure voice technologies including Avaya CS1000, Avaya AACC6, Cisco Telepresence and other VOIP PBX/contact centre exposure.    If you have not held residency in the UK for a combined  period of at least 12 months within the last 3 years, we will not be able to process an application from you.
