Role: Solutions Architect Location: Cheltenham + Remote Working (Very Flexible) Key Skills: M365 Modern Management, (Intune and MEM), SCCM, Power Platform, Infrastructure, Public Cloud (Azure and AWS) About The Role The Solutions Architect will be accountable for the leadership and development of the Technical Architect team, embedding a culture of continuous improvement in performance. They will manage, develop, and lead the Technical Architect team to equip them with the technical and soft skills needed to develop into more senior architecture roles. This will include recruiting and managing a team of Technical Architects, whilst developing and supporting them on their personal learning pathways to enable them to move into a more senior architecture role. Build, maintain, and manage a team of Technical Architects, act as a role model, demonstrating the clients values, providing clear management support and development to the team, and following the clients people processes. Partner with Architecture team leads, Talent Development, HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and the Digital Academy Lead to identify future skills gaps and current development needs within the Technical Architecture team. Coach line reports and support them in defining and tracking their personal development plans. Work with the Digital Academy Lead to review and look to improve the Digital Academy offering by gathering regular feedback from employees and stakeholders. Skills, Qualifications, And Experience Five+ years’ experience in software development for high-scale, resilient, secure web applications with API led connectivity, OR equivalent expertise. A highly organised individual, comfortable working with and influencing peers at a high technical level Educated to degree level in relevant computing discipline, or equivalent professional experience. Experience of managing and developing staff, alongside experience or certification in AWS, Agile, SAFE, Cloud computing and architecture experience. Authoritative and collaborative manner – able to explain architectures, architecture development processes and architecture documentation techniques to a wide variety of stakeholders with awareness of their motivations and interests. Astute and aware of organisational, team and individual motivations. Experience of working with architects at both and enterprise and solution level, as well as developers. Able to adapt various ways of working and approaches according to the need. Strong coaching and mentoring ability. A passion for people development and continuous improvement, specifically with technical/engineering teams. Ability to build positive and productive collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and business partners. Experience working with and developing remote teams.
